Tour Overview :

This four-day itinerary begins in Marrakech, where travelers are picked up and driven through the High Atlas Mountains to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its cinematic history. After exploring the kasbah and enjoying lunch, the journey continues to Ouarzazate and Boumalne Dades, with stunning views of the Dades Canyons. Day two focuses on the transition to the desert, with camel rides to a Berber camp in Merzouga, where guests can enjoy a sunset and overnight stay in luxury tents. The third day involves exploring the Erg Chebbi dunes, visiting nomadic settlements, and experiencing local culture in Kamilia Village. On the final day, the route leads through the Tafilalet palm grove and Ziz Valley, stopping in Midelt and Ifrane, before arriving in Fes by evening.

Pick-up will take place at your hotel or riad in Marrakech, you will drive across the High Atlas
Mountains, sub-range of moroccan Atlas mountains, going through Tizi N´Tichka port and
reach an altitude of 2260 m(7414.698ft) with stops for panoramic views and taking pictures
of the Berber small villages that camouflage in the landscape, then drive to the Kasabah of
Ait Ben Haddou (declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). Famous films have
been shot in this spectacular stage, including Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of
the Nile, Sahara with Penelope Cru…. Instantly recognizable as the setting of various
Hollywood epics, it’s also a popular backdrop for photo shoots with international fashion
magazines and agencies. You will walk to the Kasbah to explore its building and history and
will be an opportunity for you to take some beautiful picture from the top hill location of the
Kasbah ,Free time for lunch in the same village.
After that you will drive to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gate of the Sahara.” Following lunch
at leisure, continue to the Boumalne Dades via the Valley of the Roses. Upon arrival at
Boumalne Dades, take the back roads through the Dades Canyons, passing stunning rock
formations and fortified Kasbahs along the Dades River. Continue to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After having your breakfast at your hotel, you will through drive the city of Ouarzazat (Road
of 1001 Kasbahs) to the small oasis town of Tinghir. Then you will continue through the
Todgha Gorges, pausing for some free time to walk in the canyons , after that you will enjoy
lunch. You will continue driving to Erg Chebbi Dunes where you will meet your camel
caravan. Then, experience the Erg Chebbi dunes on the way to the Camp , you will have an
opportunity to watch the sunset. You will get to your desert camp before nightfall, and enjoy
an authentic Moroccan dinner under the stars or in the restaurant, while your nomad hosts
will provide the entertainment around a camp fire with the beat of their drums, Jambi and
metal castanets.

You will wake up early to watch the sunrise before breakfast. You will meet with your driver
and you will start exploring Erg Chebbi and the area, you will drive through the road that was
formerly used for the Rally “Paris – Dakar. Stop at Tissardmin oasis where we can find fossil
quarries still present in the area, we continue then by a road where we can see nomad
settlements and learn their secrets and manners. The next stop will be at a viewpoint to
contemplate the whole Erg Chebbi. Then you will continue driving through some Berber

villages. Then you will reach the village of Hassi Lbid where you can walk in the oasis where
there are wells of water still working till nowadays, in which the source of water is under the
sand dunes. We`ll reach then Kamilia Village, originally from Mali, where we´ll take a relaxing
cup of tea meanwhile we listen to a concert of the spiritual music of Gnawa. Transfer to your
accommodation and free afternoon to enjoy the town or the dunes next to the hotel to see
the sunset. Dinner and night in the hotel.

After breakfast, you will we start your last day to the north through the Tafilalet palm grove,
the biggest in the world. You´ll see thousands of palm trees along the 20km of road. This
way leads us to the Ziz valley, which river comes down from the high Atlas and feeds the
palm grove. Here you will make a stop and from this high viewpoint, enjoy a magnificent view
of the valley. Then you will drive through the “Camel Pass” 1907 m= 6256.562 ft , in the High
Atlas Mountains .
You will make another stop in Midelt, just in the heart of the Atlas where you´ll have free time
for lunch and rest for a while. In the afternoon you will continue our way through the Cedar
Woods where, if we are lucky, we´ll see some monkeys. The next place we´ll visit is the city
of Ifrane, situated in the northwestern slope of the Middle Atlas at 1630 meters above the
water level. Its broad avenues, its urban development with perfect cleanness, the gardens,
the green areas and its architecture make this city look like a swiss town. Ifrane feels
misplaced in Morocco. That is why it is named the Moroccan Switzerland, and if that is not
enough it has an important ski resort, Michlifen, About 6 pm we arrive at Fez, transfer to the
hotel, and end of our services.
